Institutional Grants

Grants for Real Circumstances

Where scholarships reward achievement, our institutional grants exist for something else entirely: standing with students carrying real burdens, so financial hardship never becomes the reason a calling goes unanswered.

"For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land." — Deuteronomy 15:11

One-Time

For sudden, unforeseen hardship

Crisis Response Grant

Up to $1,000

Non-renewable (per-incident) - may reapply if a new, separate crisis arises

A short-term emergency award for students facing sudden, unforeseen hardship - natural disaster, medical emergency, or loss of a primary income earner - that puts continued enrollment at risk.

Purpose: To provide fast relief so a student in crisis is not forced to withdraw mid-program.

Renewable

For families of pastors & missionaries

Ministry Family Support Grant

$1,000/semester ($2,000/year)

Renewable annually - requires updated financial and ministry-service documentation

For students who are spouses, children, or dependents of pastors, missionaries, or full-time ministry workers, especially those serving in bi-vocational or under-resourced settings.

Purpose: To honor families who have given their lives to ministry, often at reduced income, by removing cost as a barrier to biblical higher education.

Renewable

For single mothers & fathers

Single Parent Scholars Grant

$750–$1,250/semester

Renewable annually - requires updated financial documentation

Need-based assistance for single mothers and fathers balancing provision and parenting responsibilities while pursuing a degree.

Purpose: To help single parents complete their education without sacrificing their ability to care for their families.

Renewable

For working adults & bi-vocational pastors

Bi-Vocational Student Grant

$750/semester

Renewable annually - requires updated financial and employment documentation

Supports working adults - including bi-vocational pastors, caregivers, and full-time employees - pursuing a degree while carrying heavy financial and time burdens outside the classroom.

Purpose: To make theological education attainable for those working, ministering, and studying at once, often with the thinnest financial margin.

Renewable

For first-in-family college students

First-Generation Believer Grant

$500/semester ($1,000/year)

Renewable annually - requires updated financial documentation and satisfactory academic progress

For students who are the first in their family to attend college, particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds with limited prior access to higher education.

Purpose: To open the door to biblical higher education for students whose families could not otherwise afford it or navigate the process.

Renewable

For general documented financial hardship

Faithbridge Compassion Grant

$500–$1,500/semester

Renewable annually - requires updated financial documentation

Awarded to enrolled students facing significant, documented financial hardship - job loss, medical expense, or family crisis - regardless of program or class standing.

Purpose: To ensure that a sudden financial setback does not force a committed student to abandon their education.

70% Combined Aid Cap

Total institutional aid — Grants and Scholarships combined — may not exceed 70% of a student's total tuition for the applicable term or academic year, regardless of how many individual awards a student qualifies for.

Annual Renewal

Renewable grants are not automatically continued. Each award cycle, a new application and updated financial documentation are required, and the Office of Financial Aid re-verifies eligibility before any renewal is approved.

Aid Stacking & Priority

If a student qualifies for more aid than the 70% cap allows, awards are applied in this order until the cap is reached. If awarding a grant in full would exceed the cap, the Office of Financial Aid may award a prorated amount rather than deny it outright.

Facing a Financial Barrier?

Grants are awarded based on documented need, not admission alone — contact the Office of Financial Aid to start an application.
